While working from home, the wellbeing team has been thinking of ways to support and engage students during remote learning. They have been able to provide wellbeing and mental health support to students via different platforms such as Teams chat, emails, phone calls and Webex support group meetings and it has been great to stay connected with students and family members via these platforms.

So far this term, unfortunately we have not been able to run planned targeted wellbeing programs such as Canine Comprehension or year level programs such as Love Bites via an alternative platform. But thankfully, we were able to run a talk via Webex facilitated by Headspace for Year 12 students last month and we hope that students enjoyed this and took away something useful to improve their overall health and wellbeing.

We are looking forward to being able to acknowledge and celebrate some significant initiatives this month such as R U OK? Day, and Body Kind Week. We hope these initiatives can be student led and be celebrated at school, but we are working on a backup plan if they must be run remotely.

We hope that the entire school community is staying safe and we would like to remind you all to:

  • Pause. Breathe. Reflect.
  • Connect with others
  • Keep to a healthy routine
  • Be kind to yourself and others
  • Reach out for help if you need it

As always, please feel free to reach out to Student Wellbeing Coordinators (Deanna and Steph) via email, phone call to the school to request a call back, through a teacher or other staff member or contact the wellbeing mobile direct (details below)
