Our Year 12 Visual Communication and Design students recently toured the site of our campus redevelopment, and had an informative talk with site manager Andrew Kennedy from 2Construct.
Andrew highlighted the importance of accurate drawings and concept designs for use by the trades and our students also got the opportunity to see how the plans came to life on the site.
This tour was perfect for our Visual Communication and Design students as we focus on giving them an understanding of the processes designers employ to structure their thinking and communicate ideas with clients, target audiences, other designers and specialists.
During the course, students also investigate and experiment with the use of manual and digital methods, media and materials to make informed decisions when selecting suitable approaches for the development of their own ideas and concepts.
